    North Bay Hydro’s Regulatory Scorecard

The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has developed a scorecard for all local distribution companies across the Province as a tool to allow customers to gain a better sense of how well their utility is performing over a 5 year period. Utility scorecards track and show comprehensive performance information for each electricity utility in Ontario, over a range of time and for a specific year.

Tree Planting Program

Our friends at Greening Nipissing have put together a survey for the North Bay Hydro Tree Planting Program:

Take the Tree Planting Survey

North Bay Hydro, in partnership with community partners such as the City of North Bay, Greening Nipissing and TD Canada Trust, is proud to introduce this Tree Planting Program to North Bay.

The Tree Planting Program is meant to help increase the tree canopy as North Bay Hydro is pruning and removing trees that present a hazard to power lines.  North Bay Hydro connected with Greening Nipissing to develop a 10 year plan to maintain and even increase North Bay’s canopy.  With funding and support from the City of North Bay and TD Canada Trust, this program will provide residents with trees as well as planting trees and shrubbery in City parks and community areas.

North Bay Hydro, Greening Nipissing, the City of North Bay and TD Canada Trust have 100 mature trees this year that they will be planting for residents as well as 100 trees and shrubs they will be planting in City parks and public areas.  This summer there will also be 500 seedlings available at the North Bay Farmer’s Market for planting.

How to Request a Tree

Residents can call North Bay Hydro at 705.474.8100 ext. 873 to request a tree.  There is a limited number of trees each year. Trees will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Reserve yours today!

Tree Spotting

North Bay Hydro will visit your home to determine the best place to plant a tree based on where Hydro lines are located.  They will recommend a height of tree that will not interfere with the lines.
