If you plan on digging on your property to install a fence, plant a tree, or for other reasons, have a locate done to ensure you don’t come into contact with underground electrical cables. It’s the law. Striking an underground cable can result in serious injuries or death. By contacting Ontario One Call before you dig, you’ll stay safe and avoid unnecessary damage to buried lines and potential liability.
To request an underground cable locate:
Ontario One Call is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please provide at least five working days’ notice. After Ontario One Call dispatches your request and we determine that there are cables in the area to be excavated, a service representative will visit your premises and mark them free of charge.
